People on the margins

I have been working with the Stanley and Audrey Burton Gallery in the Parkinson Building, University of Leeds, on a collaborative project with my second year Theatre and Performance Students. They used chocolate cake, spoken word, digital imaging and performance to make an event responding to the beautifully presented exhibition of eighteenth century painter George Morland who painted press gangs, slaves and gypsies among many other things. They brought things up to date by comparing his images to 'people on the margins' today like the migrants trying to cross the Mediterranean, the homeless in Leeds and Travellers.
You can read a lovely review of the students' work here.
